The 3 bedroom Atlantis House is a totally refurbished 1873 captain’s homestead nestled on the quaint lobster fishing village shores of Cutler Harbor.
![]() The hamlet of Cutler Harbor shelters its seafarers from one of the grandest and harshest coastlines in Maine. This part of the coast is known as the “Bold Coast” because of the magnificent beauty of its shear shoreline cliffs and its picturesque scenery.
This house accommodates 6 guests with 3 tastefully decorated bedrooms. Each room has a full bath ensuite and a small sitting area. Two bedrooms are equipped with 2 queen size feather beds, one in the master bedroom and one in the main guest room. A third bedroom has 2 comfortable twin size beds. Each room has satellite television and the house has wireless high speed Internet access.
In addition to its wonderful sleeping accommodations this house boasts many terrific features such as a spacious screened-in harborside porch, large dining room, bar room with game table, well equipped gourmet kitchen with six burner commercial gas stove and stove grill, soap stone sink and counters, prep island, kitchen dining table, fireplace and screened-in outdoor grilling deck. The house is also equipped with washer, dryer, gas grill, phone, all linens, cook-ware, place settings, utensils, firewood and dishwasher.

![]() From the house, it’s a short ¼ mile walk to the Western Head trail, a spectacular crashing surf hike. This two mile hiking adventure is sure to provide guests with a thrilling view of the rugged Maine coast that people envision when they think of our great state. Once you have whet your hiking appetite with the Western Head trail then your next hike is the Cutler Bold Coast trail located 3 miles from the house just outside of the village of Cutler. This trail offers three routes to its ocean cliffs, the mile and half trail, the four mile loop and the eight mile hike. All of these routes lead to the breathtaking beauty of this magnificent coastline, where hikers can view bald eagles, ospreys, seals, and sea ducks with Machias Seal Island and Grand Manan Isle in the distance.
Cutler is home to the Bold Coast Charter Company offering excursions aboard the Barbara Frost to Machias Seal Island where visitors can view Atlantic Puffins and tour this area’s rugged coastline. At the Little River Lobster Company, just 5 minutes from the house guests can select their own fresh caught lobster right from the wharf. Vacationers can also travel to Lubec or Eastport and hop on a whale watching charter to view the many species of whales that migrate through the area. The house is 2½ hours from Bangor, 2½ hours from Bar Harbor, 5½ hours from Portland, 7 hours from Boston, 11 hours from New York City, 45 minutes from Eastport, 25 minutes from Campobello Island, and 1 hour 15 minutes from St. Stephen, New Brunswick Canada.
![]() This house rents for the beginning of May to the end of October. The house requires a 50% reservation deposit with the remainder payment due 30 days prior to arrival along with a $500.00 damage deposit. Pets and smoking are not permitted at this house. The house rents for $850 per week in the months of May, June, September and October, $925 per week for the first two weeks of July and last week in August and $1,200 per week from July 10 to August 21.
