This charmingly private 4 bedroom ocean side cottage is located on Oak Point in Trenton -- just 15 minutes away from Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park.

From its waterside deck, dining area, living room, entertainment room and master bedroom, guests are treated to gorgeous panoramic views of Acadia's mountains and the quiet northwest waters off Mount Desert Island.

Renters here enjoy the tranquility and seclusion of this ocean retreat following an active day of hiking, biking and sight seeing in the Bar Harbor area. Beach combers and kayakers are delighted with the easy access to the seashore for exploring and paddling.

The cottage's deck overlooks a diverse seashore of sand, cobble, rocks and ledge. An added bonus of this cottage is that it comes with 4 sea kayaks -- 3 singles and 1 tandem -- for exploring the interesting waters of Western Bay.

Wildlife watchers will be excited by the many eagle, osprey and loon sightings in front of the cottage. Across from the Bar Harbor View is a unique seal nursery area located off Green Island. Adventurers can paddle to this area after the seal pupping and weaning period is over, and view young seals with their parents basking on the many ledge outcrops or swimming beside their parents.

This very private retreat features a master bedroom with king size bed and attached full bath, guest bedroom with queen size bed and additional full bath. Upstairs there are two guest rooms: one with a queen and a twin bed, and the other with two twin beds.

The cottage also features an ocean side entertainment room, dining area for eight, living room with fireplace, full front deck and two car garage. The cottage also includes washer, dryer, dishwasher, gas grill, cable TV, VCR, DVD, high speed Internet access, ping pong table, firewood, phone and linens.

The cottage is available from May through the end of December for Saturday to Saturday rentals.

September 13 - December 31: $1,400

$400 refundable security deposit for damage/excessive cleaning costs. Pets are not permitted.

The cottage is 45 minutes from Bangor International Airport and 3½ hours from the Portland Jetport.

The cottage is 5 hours from Boston and 9 hours from New York City.

The cottage is also 15 minutes from Ellsworth and Bar Harbor and 20 minutes from Northeast Harbor and Southwest Harbor.
