Click for a map showing property location Located in the picturesque coastal town of Machiasport and overlooking the quiet hamlet of Starboard, the spacious Fireside Cottage sleeps 6 people and features two fireplaces, three bedrooms, 2½ baths and wonderful ocean views of Starboard Cove.

Renters with kayaks will enjoy harbor access and exploring the surrounding islands, ledgy points and storm-wash beaches.

Fireside Cottage - Point of Maine beach The cottage sits on 20 acres with forested walking paths and is a ten minute walk from the Point of Maine beach. Guests here enjoy the therapeutic quiet walks through this small friendly village and beach combing along the seashore, truly a Maine experience.

This cottage boasts three bedrooms, including master bedroom with king size bed and master bath, guest bedroom with queen size bed and an additional guest room with two twin beds. The cottage also features an ocean view kitchen and dining area along with spacious water view living room and open fireplace.

The cottage also includes downstairs sitting room with fireplace and a large sea view porch with comfortable deck furniture and gas grill. The cottage also features a 27" wide screen satellite TV with combination DVD and VCR, and outside fire pit. Cottage amenities also include phone, telescope, washer, dryer, dishwasher, firewood and linens.

The cottage rents from May through the end of December, Saturday to Saturday.

Rental Fees (per week):
May 1 - June 14: $650
June 14 - July 5: $800
July 5 - July 26: $1,050
July 26 - August 23: $1,250
August 23 - December 31: $750

$400 refundable security deposit for damage/excessive cleaning costs.

Dogs are welcome but smoking is not permitted.

The cottage is located 20 minutes from Machias and 1½ hours from Calais. It is also 1 hour from Campobello Island and 1 hour and 45 minutes from Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park.

The cottage is 2 hours from Bangor International Airport and 4½ hours from Portland Jetport. It is 6 hours from Boston and 10 hours from New York City.
