This three bedroom, 2 full bath oceanside home is a classic beachfront getaway with expansive ocean views and short driving distances away from surrounding quaint coastal villages.

Guests staying at Glimmer Glass will revel in this home’s privacy, diverse shorefront and close up deep water views of Downeast Maine traditional lobstering grounds.

Vacationers will enjoy long beachcombing strolls and tide pool exploration as well as watching lobster fishermen coming and going while tending their traps from the comfort of this wonderful house.

This newly constructed home features a water view master bedroom with king size bed and attached master bath. Its two guest rooms provide a queen and two twin beds. It boasts a centerpiece wood burning fireplace in the middle of an open, airy ocean view great room with living area, dining room, kitchen and walk-out waterside deck.

This home also includes high speed Internet, satellite TV w/ DVD player, dishwasher, gas grill, firewood, washer, dryer, phone, cook-ware, place settings, utensils and lobster pot.

Glimmer Glass is located in relatively short distances from coastal hikes at Great Wass Island, McClellan Park in Milbridge, Petit Manan in Steuben and interior hikes at Catherine’s, Tunk, Caribou, Black and Schoodic Mountains in Township 10.

There are fine dining restaurants in Machias and Milbridge with terrific seafood and local color. Good fishing abounds in the lakes around the Machias and Cherryfield areas or you can fish for trout in one of the nearby streams. Antique shops dot the many coastal villages and Machias has a number of interesting shops for guests to explore.

A little further away in Cutler, Hearts of Maine recommends the Atlantic Puffin tours to Machias Seal Island aboard the Barbara Frost with Captain Andy Patterson. We also highly recommend the whale watching and schooner cruises with Captain Butch Harris on the Sylvina Beal out of Eastport.

The Glimmer Glass Beach House rents from Saturday to Saturday.

To reserve this house a 50% reservation deposit is required within 14 days of making your reservation.

Requires a $500 damage deposit due with remainder payment 30 days prior to arrival.

Pets and smoking are not permitted.

The house is 1½ hours from Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park and 1¼ hours from Ellsworth and 2 hours from Bangor International Airport.

The house is also 1½ hours from Lubec and Campobello Island and 1½ hours from New Brunswick Canada.

The house is also 5 hours from Portland, 6 hours from Boston and 10 hours from New York City.
