This newly built 4 bedroom 2¾ bath house with plush furnishings and waterside deck and sunroom, accommodates 10 guests. This grand house is perfect for a large extended family or two families vacationing together.

The bay scenery from the shoreline is beautiful, wonderfully diverse and always changing. Couples or moms and dads with their children will love the easy walking along the ocean shorefront where vacationers can explore for miles.

Sea kayakers will love the ease of access to the bay waters, nearby coastal islands and inner coves and harbors from this quiet hamlet hideaway.

With two sitting rooms, a living room, sunroom and formal dining room, this newly built home affords families room choices for different gatherings at the same time. For adults or teens wanting a quiet place to relax and talk or read, the private sitting rooms fill the need, while youngsters or others gather in the living room to watch satellite TV or play board games.

The large formal dining room seats 10 and offers easy access to its spacious kitchen which includes a dishwasher, all cookware, place settings and utensils. Early risers will enjoy fixing a cup of coffee or breakfast and eating it at the kitchen's warm sunroom.

The house also boasts two propane fireplaces, one located in the living room and the other in master bedroom, which provide wonderful afternoon and evening ambience.

On the second floor there are 4 bedrooms, featuring a large master bedroom suite with spacious attached bath, large walk-in closest and satellite TV and DVD player.

The other three guest bedrooms include a water-view guest couple's room with queen size bed, a smaller room with double bed and teen's and youngster's room with 2 sets of bunk beds which accommodate 4. These guest rooms all are convenient to the second bath room located upstairs near the bedrooms and the washer and dryer.

The Ocean Sands House is located in the midst of unique coastal and interior Maine attractions including Acadia National Park's Schoodic Peninsula, situated only 6 miles away in Winter Harbor and featuring spectacular rugged pink granite ledges, crashing surf, oceanside hikes, biking, breathtaking ocean views and seabird watching opportunities.

Ocean Sands is also located within a 12 mile radius of many mountain hikes within the Maine Bureau of Public Lands Downeast Unit which boast wonderfully scenic and challenging trails up Catherine's, Tunk, Black, Caribou and Schoodic peaks. Nestled between the mountains are some of the most gloriously clear granite based lakes and freshwater beaches at which the public can hike, kayak or canoe.

The house is 1 hour from Bangor and Bangor International Airport, 40 minutes from Bar Harbor, 4 hours from Portland, 5½ hours from Boston, 9½ hours from New York City, 2 hours from Eastport, 1½ hours from Campobello Island, and 2 hours from St. Stephen, New Brunswick, Canada.

This house rents for the beginning of May to the end of October.

The house requires a 50% reservation deposit with the remainder payment due 30 days prior to arrival along with a $500.00 damage deposit.

Dogs are welcome. Smoking is not permitted.

For dates between June 29 - August 24, 2013, the rental fees listed cover the first eight guests. There is a $50 per person charge for additional guests greater than eight.
