The cottage is a Saturday to Saturday rental with check-in time at 3:00 PM and check-out time at 10:00 AM on the following Saturday. The cottage does not allow pets and smoking is not permitted.

The Sanctuary Cottage is a newly built two bedroom gem located in the outskirts of Jonesport, Maine with spectacular views of the Atlantic Ocean and picturesque Roque Island. The character and design of the cottage are charming with open, airy rooms and views of the sea at every turn.
The center attraction of the cottage is its glass front fireplace situated in the middle of a warm and inviting ocean view great room. The cottage also boasts an oceanside meditation "ermita" or sanctuary for those looking for solitude or just a great place to relax and read.
The Sanctuary Cottage is truly a special place providing its visitors with a private and secluded coastal Maine experience. Here you can become one with the sea. Guests here enjoy beach combing, sea kayaking or just walking the seashore to Sandy River Beach, just ¼ mile away. We are sure that once you experience this cottage and the nearby area, you'll want to keep coming back year after year!
The cottage sleeps four and features a spacious ocean view master bedroom with double bed, private computer nook and master bath. The cottage also features a private ocean view guest room with two twin beds and a full bath. It has an open waterside kitchen and great room, which includes the dining and living areas. The cottage has a full front porch with comfortable furniture and a gas grill. The cottage also comes with washer, dryer, TV, VCR, CD player, phone, linens and firewood.

The Sanctuary Cottage is 20 minutes from the coastal town of Machias, 1 hour and 30 minutes from Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor, 1 hour and 15 minutes from the city of Calais and the Canadian border and 2 hours from Bangor International Airport.
