The Sea Bluffs House is a beautiful, contemporary 4 bedroom oceanfront home with private deep water frontage located on Cape Split in South Addison, Maine.

It’s westward facing ocean view takes in the sandy shores of Eagle and Sheep islands, the crashing surf of its rugged ledgy shorefront and breath taking sunsets.

The house comes with its own sandy cove, a perfect place for children to play and for adults to launch sea kayaks. The sandy cove beside the house warms up the ocean waters through the day and provides for a warmer swimming spot in the afternoon in usually chilly Atlantic.

The inside of this home is luxurious and well kept. One of the great features of this house is its oceanside deck that overlooks the surf and its private access to the seashore.

Its waterfront great room which includes an open kitchen and dining area for 8, expands into a large living area with authentic center fireplace, satellite TV and library of books. Here the ocean ebbs, flows and funnels pure sea sounds to its visitors, complete with gulls cawing and eagles soaring. This house is truly a place to relax.

Sea Bluffs offers sea kayakers deep water access for exploring the many majestic points, beaches and islands, including spectacular Nash Island with its lighthouse and classic Maine rugged shoreline.

This area of “Downeast” Maine is very rural with many traditional and quaint fishing villages. These small communities are filled with friendly people, interesting shops, antique stores and wonderful seafood restaurants. Dotting this area of Maine are lobster and seafood co-ops, which are terrific places to purchase affordable ocean delicacies.

Just down the lane is a wonderful sand beach owned by the Great Auk Land Trust and open to the public. This is a great place to stroll with your partner or explore and play with children.

Other attractions include spectacular coastal hiking trails such as the Cutler Coast Trail, Western Head Trail, Great Wass Island Trails, West Quoddy Head Light Trail and many others. This special area also features many lakes and ponds, rivers and streams for freshwater fishing. We also highly recommend guests make the hour and half trip to Eastport for schooner cruises, whale watching and deep sea fishing.

This house’s spacious and airy great room drinks up the afternoon light and is positioned perfectly to catch the brilliant glowing red and orange sunsets. This room just speaks “relax” as soon as you enter and sink into its comfortable furniture in front of its adorable fireplace.

The house accommodates 8 with its 3 queen and 2 twin size beds. There are three spacious full baths. The second floor master bedroom boasts a grand ocean view from the room and from its balcony.

The first and second guest rooms also feature comfortable queen size beds and peeks of the ocean. The third guest room offers 2 twin size beds. The master bedroom also includes satellite TV with DVD/VCR. This house includes washer, dryer, dishwasher, 2 satellite TV's, DVD’s, CD/Radio player, phone, cookware, utensils, place settings, microwave, all linens, outdoor charcoal grill and firewood.

September 6 - December 31: $950

$400 refundable security deposit for damage/excessive cleaning costs.

The house allows only dogs with permission. Smoking is not permitted at this house.

The house is 30 minutes from Machias, 1 hour from Ellsworth, 1½ hours from Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park and 2 hours from Bangor International Airport.

The house is also 1½ hours from Lubec, Eastport, Campobello Island, Calais and St. Stephen, Canada.

Portland is 4½ hours away, Boston is a 6 hour drive and New York City is 10 hours away.
