Hearts of Maine is pleased to represent the Sea Mist House, a newly renovated 4 bedroom Victorian home located on Wilderness Shores on Gouldsboro Bay in Steuben, Maine.

This beautiful home with its many diverse rooms calls out to families and couples with its quiet gravel roads for bike riding, large lawn for games, two spacious decks for relaxing and dining and wonderful pink granite shorefront for lobster and clam bakes.

The home is situated in one the most beautiful areas of Downeast Maine and offers its guests a large family house in a quiet setting and only a 2 minute walk to the sea shore.

This intricately fascinating large modernized house from a bygone era features twisty-turning hallways, hidden rooms, a master bedroom with full bath, two decks, 2 full guest baths, fireplace, high speed Internet, satellite TV and an outside play house (also called the Wee-House).

The Sea Mist House is a sprawling home that accommodates 8 guests - its many different rooms allow for a diversity of indoor activities including board games and movie watching in the TV room, reading and quiet conversation in front of the fireplace in the sitting room, breakfast, morning coffee and newspaper reading in the sun room and family gatherings in the great room.

At Sea Mist there is something for everyone, from its large lawn for family games to its Wee-House for children and teenagers to play in, or its terrific shoreline for beach combing and launching sea kayaks from. The house also comes complete with all linens, cookware, utensils, place settings, outdoor gas grill and charcoal grill, washer, dryer, dishwasher, phone, firewood and computer desks for high speed Internet connections.

Sea Mist is located in the midst of many classic Maine outdoor and quaint village pursuits which include hiking at the nearby coastal trails located at Acadia’s Schoodic Peninsula, the nature trails at US Fish & Wildlife’s Petit Manan Wildlife Refuge and Milbridge’s pink granite shoreline hiking at McClellan Park.

There are also close by inland hikes at Catherine’s, Tunk, Caribou, Black and Schoodic mountains, as well as wonderful freshwater sandy swimming beaches at Long Pond, Tunk and Spring River lakes. There are also many freshwater and ocean fishing opportunities at the local harbors and nearby lakes and streams.

Guests can take lobster fishing excursions, bay tours and Atlantic Puffin sight seeing trips out of Milbridge Harbor. For the village explorer, Milbridge offers many antique shops, souvenir stores, restaurants and an old fashioned movie theater showing first run films. Vacationers can also take a short day trip to nearby Bar Harbor for whale watching and deep sea fishing.

The house is 1 hour 15 minutes east of Bangor and the Bangor International Airport. Four hours northeast of Portland, 5½ hours from Boston and 10½ hours from New York City. The house is also 1 hour from Bar Harbor and the main portion of Acadia National Park. The house is 1½ hours from Eastport and l hour and 15 minutes from Lubec and Campobello Island.

The Sea Mist House rents from Saturday to Saturday.
A 50% reservation deposit is required to reserve the cottage.
Balance due 30 days prior to arrival.
A $500.00 refundable damage deposit is required along with remainder payment for damage/excessive cleaning costs.
No extra cleaning fees are required.
Check-in time 3:00 PM and check-out time 10:00 AM the following Saturday.

Smoking is not permitted. Dogs allowed with permission.

June 26 - July 17: $1,000
July 17 - August 21: $1,650
August 21 - September 11: $1,200
September 11 - October 9: $800
