The Sunrise Point House is a wonderfully private three bedroom oceanfront getaway perched on the diverse shores of Harrington Bay in Milbridge, Maine.

This invitingly comfortable cottage sits overlooking the rolling waves that crash on its hardwood point. While staying here guests will feel miles away from their worries as they get absorbed into the immense beauty of the seashore and all its splendor.

Vacationers will enjoy watching the seabirds flock into this scenic bay where they will also see eagles, ospreys and seals putting on a show while feeding on its rich waters.

Families and couples will love sitting around the firepit in the evening roasting marshmallows and making smores while telling ghost stories or talking about the fun events of the day.

The Sunrise Point House can accommodate 6 guests with its three bedrooms and 2 full baths. It has a bright and airy cathedral great room with center fireplace, spacious ocean view dining area, breakfast bar, well equipped kitchen with dishwasher and comfortable waterside living room with satellite TV.

From both the living room and dining areas guests can step out onto oceanside deck to relax and watch the beauty of the sea or enjoy having a family cookout around the picnic table. The house has a master bedroom with queen size bed and full bath located on the first floor. Its guest bedrooms and another full bath are located on the second floor featuring a queen and two twin beds.

The house also includes high speed Internet, iPod dock, firewood, washer, dryer, linens, all cookware, place settings, utensils, outdoor furniture and phone.

This house is located close to ocean excursion departure points at Milbridge harbor where vacationers can tour Atlantic Puffin islands, lighthouses as well as bay tours and lobster harvesting tours. Guests are also close to many coastal hiking trails such as McClellen Park trail and the Petit Manan Bird Sanctuary trails.

Visitors venturing just 10 miles inland will find many mountain hikes at the Maine Bureau of Public Land’s trails on Tunk, Catherine’s, Caribou, Black and Schoodic Mountains. In addition, explorers can relax on the many remote lake beaches located on Spring River Lake, Tunk Lake, Long Pond and Donnell Pond.

The house is also only 30 minutes from Acadia National Park’s Schoodic Peninsula with its spectacular thundering surf and bold natural beauty. It’s also only 1 hour’s drive away from shops at Bar Harbor and the main portion of Acadia National Park, both located on Mount Desert Island.

The house is 1½ hours from Bangor, 45 minutes from Ellsworth, 4½ hours from Portland, 6 hours from Boston, 10 hours from New York City, 1½ hours from Eastport, 1 hour and 15 minutes from Campobello Island, and 2 hours from St. Stephen, New Brunswick Canada.

This house rents for the beginning of May to the end of October.

The house requires a 50% reservation deposit within 14 days of making your reservation and the remainder payment due 30 days prior to arrival along with a $500.00 damage deposit.

Dogs are welcome but smoking is not permitted at this house.
