Located in the outskirts of the quiet and quaint harbor hamlet of Corea, Maine, the Surfcrest Cottage is situated on a rockbound crashing surf shorefront with spectacular views of the open Atlantic Ocean within minutes of Acadia National Park’s Schoodic Peninsula.

This cottage boasts one of the most private and exclusive settings on the Maine coast and is positioned only 100 feet away the spray of the sea. The close shorefront features beautiful granite ledges, boulders and cobble.

The lucky renter here will want to savor the clean, crisp sea air and the picturesque, rugged surf. Sea kayakers can easily launch in front of the cottage and beachcombers will have a great time exploring the diverse tide pools and seashore.

Staying at the Surfcrest Cottage, you can let the ebb and flow of the ocean lull you to sleep or just help you relax while you read and forget the outside world. Whatever your desires, if you're drawn to the Maine coast, this is the place to be.

At night, guests will enjoy the twinkling starry nightscape with the flashing of the distant, periodic beacon of the Petit Manan Lighthouse and the rhythmic sounds of the surf as it lulls them to sleep.

During the day vacationers have a front row seat and will marvel at the sights as different combinations of shorebirds, ducks, eagles, ospreys and seals all make appearances on nature’s ever-changing stage. Guests here will also enjoy wandering the intertidal area to beachcomb for seashells, starfish and sea glass.

This cute cottage is a terrific place to have shorefront lobster, clam and corn on the cob bakes while taking in the breathtaking scenery.

This area is also a sea kayaker’s paradise and guests are welcome to bring or rent kayaks and launch them at the cottage and explore local inner bays, harbors and offshore islands.

The three bedrooms and one full bath Surfcrest Cottage can accommodate 6 guests with its two queen size and one double bed. It also features a warm and cozy ocean view great room with comfortable living room, dining area and well equipped kitchen.

The cottage also includes high speed Internet, satellite TV with DVD player, CD/radio player, outdoor gas grill, outdoor furniture, all cookware, place settings, utensils, washer, dryer, linens and phone. Dogs are welcome but smoking is not permitted inside the cottage.

The cottage rents from the beginning of May to the end of October, Saturday to Saturday.
$500 refundable security deposit for damage/excessive cleaning costs.

The cottage is approximately 1 hour & 15 minutes from Bangor International Airport. It is 4 hours from Portland, 5½ hours from Boston, and 9½ from New York City.

Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park are 45 minutes away and the towns of Milbridge and Ellsworth have the closest movie theaters and are 20 and 30 minutes away, respectively.
